Today, November 12, 2008 is the 402nd Foundation Anniversary of the Parish of San Ildefonso de Toledo of Tanay Rizal. The highlight of the event was a con-celebrated Mass at 6:00 p.m. presided over by the Most Reverend Francisco De Leon, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Antipolo. The Homily of the Most Reverend Auxiliary Bishop Francsico De Leon touched on the need to protect the environment especially the , watersheds, rivers including the Laguna De Bay from which water cycle that provides life is drawn.
The different groups of the Laity handed their Offerings to the Auxiliary Bishop.
At he end of the Mass, the people who filled the Church sought the Auxiliary Bishop's Blessing.
Ildefonsian Mayor Rafael Tanjutaco together with the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Tanay also took part in the celebrations.
After the Con-celebrated Mass, diinner was served with the Auxilliary Bishop DeLeon Sitting at the Head Table with Rev. Fr. Felipe Redraja Tanay, Parish Pre4ist and Guests. A program was also held at the Church Quadrangle participated in by members of different church organizations. The closing of the festivity was announced by the successive sound and sight of the "kwitis" making Tanayan even those in the surrounding Barangays aware of the festive historic event.
